A few simple ways to speed up metabolism

Some people have slower and some faster metabolism, which affects how easily they gain weight or lose weight. Although it is predetermined by genetics, age, sex and body size, there are some lifestyle changes that you can make to speed up the process. 

Here are some of them:

1) Lower the temperature

Sleeping in a colder room increases the percentage of brown fat tissue – a type of fat that acts as a muscle. According to a 2014 study involving male volunteers who had been sleeping in climate-controlled rooms (where the temperature was 18.8 ° C for a few months) only in slim pyjamas and blankets, it was concluded that the amount of brown fat tissue was duplicated and the calories burned.

2) Drink coffee

Consuming coffee (of course, in moderation) speeds up metabolism and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes.

3) Reduce stress

Even if stressful situations do not cause you to overeat, the body needs more time to process the eaten calories. In a 2014 study, women who reported being stressed for 24 hours burned an average of 104 calories less. For a period of one year, this deficit could turn into a weight gain of 5kg.
